Senior Sales Director

Slyce is the market leader in image recognition for retail.  The company was launched four years ago with a goal of becoming the world leader in visual search. Over that time, we raised more than $40MM, built out our technology and service offering, acquired four companies and signed deals with 25 of the leading retailers in the United States including Neiman March, Best Buy, Home Depot, Nordstrom, and Urban Outfitters.  We are a bright and highly motivated team with ambitious goals which are excited to drive our cutting-edge technology out to the marketplace and have fun doing it.


Our technology allows consumers snap a photo or scan an image with their smart phones and purchase that item with a single click.  The focus of our approach is to take our core services and white label our technology into retailers’ apps and mobile web.  We also drive experiences with our core consumer apps, including SnipSnap, which reaches more than 5 million monthly users.


The Senior Sales Director will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. This position will be based in our Philadelphia PA office, and cover the East Coast territory.  The ideal candidate would be hardworking, focused, a quick learner and willing to take on anything that comes their way. They will immerse themselves in image recognition and visual search technology, learning the ins and outs in order to help it continue to grow. A can-do attitude and flexibility is both key, as we are a lean, fast-paced start-up at the core.


Responsibilities
•    Prepare and execute strategies for business development and actively prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities with new and existing clients
•    Size clients and industries to provide recommendations /solutions to business challenges through the use of professional services
•    Sell mobile image recognition and mobile coupon offering to larger retailers and 3rd party mobile app partners
•    Deliver sales presentations to prospective accounts and closing new business
•    Identify key decision makers in existing and potential clients
•    Lead generations and sales activity increase in response to external market fluctuations
•    Grow business within existing accounts by directly managing the account relationship
•    Ongoing follow up with client to detail satisfaction and ongoing business
•    Attend network events to meet with future customers


Our Criteria
•    5+ years of Sales/Business Development with proven track record of success in sales growth and account management
•    Experience selling enterprise SaaS technology solutions to national retailers is a must
•    Broad knowledge of the mobile app landscape including mobile shopping apps
•    Contacts in retail and experience selling into large retailers
•    Experience using CRM software to track sales pipeline
•    Proficient with MS Office
•    Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Strong negotiation skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills 
•    Able to work well in a team environment and is able to work independently when necessary
•    Must be motivated, goal oriented and persistent
•    A proven track record of consistent quota attainment or over-achievement
•    Ability to travel frequently
